About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Robotics Engineer based in Berkeley, California, to take end-to-end ownership of our core autonomy software stack.
You will lead the architecture, development, and deployment of real-time localization, mapping, motion planning, and control algorithms for physical robotic platforms. You will collaborate closely with perception, applications, and hardware teams to transform high-level autonomy concepts into reliable, deterministic systems.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys making core architectural decisions and deploying production-grade software directly onto real-world hardware.

- Regular in-office presence is required for hands-on hardware testing, rapid execution, and close collaboration

What You’ll Bring
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of industry experience developing and deploying production autonomy software on physical robotic platforms, such as AMRs, AGVs, autonomous vehicles, or robotic manipulators
- Expert-level proficiency in modern C++ (C++14, C++17, or C++20)
- Deep knowledge of memory management, multithreading, and deterministic real-time systems
- Strong Python skills for rapid prototyping, data analysis, and tooling development
- Advanced knowledge of 3D geometry, linear algebra, and coordinate transformations, including quaternions and SE(3)
- Specialized expertise in at least one key area: state estimation, motion planning, or controls
- Working knowledge of EKF, UKF, SLAM, sampling-based or optimization-based planning, MPC, and system dynamics
- Proven experience testing, debugging, and validating algorithms on physical hardware in real-world environments
- Experience with custom low-level architectures and messaging systems such as LCM
- Strong technical communication skills and confidence explaining and defending architectural decisions
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
- Professional English communication skills
What You’ll Do
- Own the core autonomy stack across mobile-base localization, mapping, steering, trajectory generation, motion planning, and control
- Design real-time trajectory optimization and Model Predictive Control strategies for complex, high-degree-of-freedom robotic platforms
- Develop sampling-based and optimization-based motion-planning algorithms
- Test and validate software directly on physical hardware to connect algorithm design with real-world performance
- Build and maintain robust simulation environments for algorithm development and validation
- Collaborate with perception, applications, and hardware teams to integrate autonomy modules into the broader system architecture
- Diagnose complex system behavior involving software, hardware, and sensor interactions
- Support customer deployments, system setup, and robot calibration when required
- Mentor junior engineers in autonomy, motion planning, and controls

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation & DevOps Engineer to build automated testing capabilities and strengthen the delivery processes of a mature software platform used in daily field operations.
The platform includes Windows desktop applications, software running on physical equipment, central services, and a modern web dashboard.
You will be the primary QA Automation and DevOps specialist within a small team of senior engineers, helping modernize an established C++ codebase while protecting the functionality field operators rely on every day.

What You’ll Bring
